Our hearts are deeply grieved to hear
That you must go away.
It seems but just a few short days
Since you came to stay
You taught us faithfulness and love
You taught us how to pray
You taught us how to live our lives
In a truly Christian way.
You taught us how to serve the Lord
In the four years together
You've shown us we must loyal be
In storm and sunny weather.
You taught us how to Honor Him
With praise our voices ring.
You've made our Baptist Youth Fellowship
A vital and spiritual thing.
And now dear friends as you leave us
To tread upon distant sod
We have faith to carry us onward
Because you walked with God.
May the Lord guide both you and us
Til this pilgrimage's o'er
That we may meet together again
On that faraway happy shore.
"The Lord bless thee and keep thee
The Lord make His face to shine upon thee and be gracious unto thee
The Lord lift up His Countenance upon thee and give thee peace. Amen."
Numbers 6: 24, 25, 26.
