GOD BLESSES

Us in so many ways, many of which come in different ways, different shades and themes of life as we strive to learn more about this wondrous Savior above. There are days when life seems to flow along and others days when it is so hard to learn and accept what He is trying to pound into our heads.

Some times life hands us lemons, and we are expected to make lemonade out of the sour things of life that happen, and praise the Lord for even those sour fruits that seem to make us want to rebel, but then we stop and think again of what the Lord went through for each of us that we might walk with Him in glory one day.

Some days the lemons are bitter and hard to swallow, the acid of the lemon we think will make us sick or give a sour stomach ache, but we find out that it is all our imagination, for it settles our stomachs and brings a new life to our existence because we were following what He wants us to learn in our walk with Him.

How oft we spend our lives afraid to go and do what He might ask of us. It really is silly isn't it. . to be afraid of anything that He might ask. Our God is Good all the Time.

Lord thank you for the daily lemons of life, help me to make Lemonade of every experience and never forget to add the sugar of His word to bring my life into his perfect will for me and ole lady of a little over 73.

Yes, I am old. My birthday was lonely except for the calls, emails and a few cards in the snail mail. It was a very busy and productive day as far as getting ready for the Sabbath Rest and the fellowship dinner, after church.

Thank you, Lord for each new day and its challenges even the lemons along the way. Help me to quit complaining about those lemons. . and just make that lemonade. The little bit of sugar makes the meds go down without giving us a stomach ache.

I love you Jesus may You daily be Lord of my life through out eternity.

3 Bullets

There once was a man who had nothing for his family to eat. He had an old rifle and three bullets.

So, he decided that he would go out hunting and kill some wild game for dinner.

As he went down the road, he saw a rabbit. He shot at the rabbit and missed it. The rabbit ran away.

Then he saw a squirrel and fired a shot at the squirrel, but missed it. The squirrel disappeared into a hole in a cottonwood treel.

As he went further, he saw a large, wild "Tom" turkey in the tree, but he had only one bullet remaining.

A voice spoke to him and said, "Pray first, aim high, and stay focused."

However, at the same time he saw a deer which was a better kill.

He brought the gun down and aimed at the deer. But, then he saw a rattlesnake between his legs, about to bite him, so he naturally brought the gun down further to shoot the rattlesnake.

Still, the voice said again to him, "I said, 'Pray, Aim high, and Stay focused."

So, the man decided to listen to God's voice.

He prayed, then aimed the gun high up in the tree, and shot the wild turkey.

The bullet bounced off the turkey and killed the deer.

The handle fell off the gun, hit the snake in the head, and killed it. And, when the gun had gone off, it knocked him into a pond.

When he stood up to look around, he had fish in all his pockets, a dead deer, and a turkey for his family to eat.

The snake, (Satan), was dead simply because the man listened to God.

Moral of the story:
Pray first before you do anything, aim and shoot high in your goals, and stay focused on God.
