DAY'S END

The weather here in Colorado, has gone from sunny, to windy, to humid, to cloudy, to the tator wagon rolling, and maybe some rain later on. I love this time of the year when it starts cooling, the leaves on the tress are changing slowly from a deep dark green to a lighter or shades of green, then to a slight yellow, orange and golden colors, as the feel of fall is on the wing.

The way my bod aches at times I think that the winter ahead of may be a long one, with snow. Lots of that white stuff. I am hoping that I am wrong, as I love working out on my patio and changing things around, plus doing crafts on the patio table and watching the birds, squirrels scampering across the yard rounding up supplies to hid for the winter feast ahead. Days are sometimes lean for them, need to be leaner for me, as I need to stop and reconsider what I put into my mouth.

Life gets ole when one is getting advanced in age, not old, but ole. That is what I call the way I look at this time in my life. The zip may be gone, but life still goes on and as I sit and wonder about the months ahead and what the Lord God may have in store for this Child/ole tho she may be, I think about what I have done and it seems that the year has been without much done at all. I only want to be what He wants me to be, w/o all the other trash that seems to bog me down at times.

How does one stop and turn around, get things downsized, in life or in quanity of things one collects or the fluff of junk one may put into their bods instead of quality we have put quanity.

Lord teach us to desire that which is part of thy plan for each of us as walk daily with the blessed presence of Him in our thoughts and lives.

In His care.

3 Bullets

There once was a man who had nothing for his family to eat. He had an old rifle and three bullets.

So, he decided that he would go out hunting and kill some wild game for dinner.

As he went down the road, he saw a rabbit. He shot at the rabbit and missed it. The rabbit ran away.

Then he saw a squirrel and fired a shot at the squirrel, but missed it. The squirrel disappeared into a hole in a cottonwood treel.

As he went further, he saw a large, wild "Tom" turkey in the tree, but he had only one bullet remaining.

A voice spoke to him and said, "Pray first, aim high, and stay focused."

However, at the same time he saw a deer which was a better kill.

He brought the gun down and aimed at the deer. But, then he saw a rattlesnake between his legs, about to bite him, so he naturally brought the gun down further to shoot the rattlesnake.

Still, the voice said again to him, "I said, 'Pray, Aim high, and Stay focused."

So, the man decided to listen to God's voice.

He prayed, then aimed the gun high up in the tree, and shot the wild turkey.

The bullet bounced off the turkey and killed the deer.

The handle fell off the gun, hit the snake in the head, and killed it. And, when the gun had gone off, it knocked him into a pond.

When he stood up to look around, he had fish in all his pockets, a dead deer, and a turkey for his family to eat.

The snake, (Satan), was dead simply because the man listened to God.

Moral of the story:
Pray first before you do anything, aim and shoot high in your goals, and stay focused on God.
