MY WAY OR GOD'S WAY ~ His way is best...

A while back my friend Martha in NC sent me an email with
words that really make you sit up and think.
No Jesus,
No Peace.
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Know Jesus
Know Peace.
the bottom was like a tag
all of which was lost in computer crash.

I want to see if I can find that again,
but also have the other
No Jesus
No Peace

put into it too..

We serve an awesome God and I know that sometimes
I must make a mess of things
when I get impatient or wanting it done right now!!!
How I just grieve the Lord and His Holy Spirit
with my impatience .

Lord God, please help me to not run ahead of You
when I want things NOW!
Help me not to be impatient

but to wait on your guidance..

It is like the poem that mother wrote to me
when I was about to start college in Georgetown KY
it is called

"God's Way"
You love to read God's Holy Word

You love to pay and sing

You love to hear the music roll

Hear other voices ring
With songs of praise and songs of faith

The message new and yet so old
You love to tell the Story of how Jesus

Died to save your soul.

Of course, I know you love Him
Your eyes have told me so

He paid the price to have your love
We must not tell Him "No,"
We must give Jesus His first place

In love and life and thought

And He some day will send to you

The love for which you sought.

Let us not be too hasty
Let's not run ahead of God

He knows your needs before you ask
He knows the path you trod

Just put your dear sweet hand in His
Then pray it through clear through
He'll lead you to your task dear heart

He has the way marked out for you.

for Betty my daughter.

Thanks, Mom. I wish that you were still around for me to thank again.
Your poetry has been a blessing all around. I am thankful that you
had it published before God laid you to sleep.
I treasure them so much. It was a gift that you bestowed on me
~ the love of poetry. ~

Mama died on January 28, 1985,
and if she had lived until the next day
it would have been exactly 45 years
after Daddy was killed.

They were buried 45 years apart
but the weather wasn't the same
I was not able to be there for Mom's
but my one brother who lived here
was able to go, and it was below Zero
the day of the funeral.
I do not remember Daddy's funeral

only that it was nice weather and
a whole lot of family around.
Cousins to play with and lots of food on the table.

Strange how one remembers little things like that
as I was was only 4 then, you can read about a lot of it
in the one My Daddy which was my first post that I did.

"God has given me so much in my life
even the sorrows that I have lived with
in some ways have given me much
thought for thanksgiving and joy
in that He knows what is Best"

Love You, Jesus. . .

3 Bullets

There once was a man who had nothing for his family to eat. He had an old rifle and three bullets.

So, he decided that he would go out hunting and kill some wild game for dinner.

As he went down the road, he saw a rabbit. He shot at the rabbit and missed it. The rabbit ran away.

Then he saw a squirrel and fired a shot at the squirrel, but missed it. The squirrel disappeared into a hole in a cottonwood treel.

As he went further, he saw a large, wild "Tom" turkey in the tree, but he had only one bullet remaining.

A voice spoke to him and said, "Pray first, aim high, and stay focused."

However, at the same time he saw a deer which was a better kill.

He brought the gun down and aimed at the deer. But, then he saw a rattlesnake between his legs, about to bite him, so he naturally brought the gun down further to shoot the rattlesnake.

Still, the voice said again to him, "I said, 'Pray, Aim high, and Stay focused."

So, the man decided to listen to God's voice.

He prayed, then aimed the gun high up in the tree, and shot the wild turkey.

The bullet bounced off the turkey and killed the deer.

The handle fell off the gun, hit the snake in the head, and killed it. And, when the gun had gone off, it knocked him into a pond.

When he stood up to look around, he had fish in all his pockets, a dead deer, and a turkey for his family to eat.

The snake, (Satan), was dead simply because the man listened to God.

Moral of the story:
Pray first before you do anything, aim and shoot high in your goals, and stay focused on God.

~ HE IS THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD ~

Jesus, is our life, our Hope and Our Lord and Savior.
In Him do I trust. W/O Him I am lost and wondering around on this globe of existence without any life in me. W/Him, there is life, with Him there is Hope, with Him there is a place for me in heaven one day.

JESUS IS OUR LIGHT

JESUS IS OUR LIGHT
He shed those tears 4 U & I

JESUS IS THE ANSWER

"Our only Hope of Heaven".
He is the bright and morning star, the lily of the valley
our redeemer and forever friend.
