MY PRAYER, LORD
I am only a sitter Lord
But more I want to be
Help me Lord to be a guide
In the lives of these I am to lead.
And when I become angry
Give me that strength to calm myself
Lest I show reproach
And scold or spank
Or whatever the chastise may be
Help me Lord to always be fair
And show love at all times.
I know dear Lord, that many times
They try my patience
But when I correct help me dear Lord
To remember how many ways
I try your patience.
Help me, lord to always remember
The love thou hast for me
A love greater than all love combined
Is thy love for me.
Help me lord in some way to show they love
To these three loves of mine
That while they grow up
They might follow the path to thee.
Yes I am a sitter Lord but
That the Lord you’re there to watch over me.
