PREPARE TO FEED MY SHEEP
Last night as I lay sleeping I dreamed that dream again
I stood behind the pulpit and spoke of the love of God to men
We sang a song and I listened, their voices in Psalms blend.
But, then as I heard, not a word did I understand.
For they were dark men of various a language you see
So then I said,
“Dear Lord, how did they understand when I spoke of thy love for them?”
Then a voice within said, “Prepare to feed my sheep.”
The scene then changed, a Sabbath School class I teach
I looked again and I did see, the faces as before, so eager for the word to hear.
“Dear Lord, will they understand, when I speak of thy love for them.?”
Then a voice within me said, “Prepare to feel my Sheep.”
I pray, dear Lord, give me strength and guide me in your Holy Way.
Help me through thy Spirit they will to do, help me to feed thy Sheep.
